If you plan someday to re appreciate the quality of uncompressed music then get the Transporter, otherwise just get an SB or Duet and spend the rest of your money in downloading more 192kpbs VBR's. My advice is to consider the TP-lossless, you would be surprised how much detail and magic you are missing. Try going to your local library, Im not sure if it has a music collection, but here in rotterdam, the library has the largest music archive in europe and I can lend a cd for 2 euros....
