To make my SB3-Benchmark DAC1 connection I ended up buying 3 or 4 digital cables (not expensive, high-end stuff but from recognized middle-tier companies). They all sounded hard and harsh compared to an old Monster Cable analog interconnect, expensive for its time, that I found in the bottom of my own cable box, and which is what I'm using at the moment.
