Because inguz is a Windows thing (OK, it can also be made to work on Linux with mono) and requires a beefy server. With a Transporter, the DEQ can be inserted in the digital chain and is extremely transparent, esp. using the AES interface rather than SPDIF. It's more convenient using a dedicated device that was designed for the job than using the Inguz software. I'm not knocking the Inguz software, but I picked up a s/h DEQ and mic for less than £100 ($200), plugged it in, and it just worked. Sometimes I'd rather do that than spend hours making something work.
