Different strokes, I guess. I read both mags and find myself skimming
past a lot of the regular Stereophile content. I can do without the
schmooze-fests disguised as "Industry Update" and the endless reports
form audio shows. I don't really need to see another picture of a
badly-dressed, overweight white guy standing next to a black box that
isn't even plugged in because he's still tweaking it and saying it
might see production next year.

And you might love poring over the technical info and graphs, but to me
it's just more filler. Do people really buy components from inspecting
a graph? I hope not.

And I know I can safely skip the babblings of guys like the "Analog
Coroner". I'm never going to buy a $100,000 turntable, Mikey, no
matter how often you tell me I need one. Just drive a sapphire-tipped
stake into the heart of that nonsense and let's be done with it. But
he probably gets a $10k kickback every time one of those monsters is
sold.

Finally, I know these old geezers are writing their columns on a
computer using the disability fonts, so I'm sure they get a kick out of
knowing the subscribers have to use a magnifying glass to peruse the
print edition. I can hear them giggle every time I bump my vision
prescription another step closer to coke bottle strength.
