Again you misread my post. I was comparing the digital recording to an analog soundwave or may be converted to an analog electrical signal, but not to vinyl. When you read "analog" you replace that with vinyl. It might not degrade it but it changes it and many people hear it. Come on, some people can even tell you the make and brand of the DAC used just by listening to it's output. Just like some people can/could tell you which tape-recorder or even brand of tape was used for the master. I believe the test would prove that the two conversions changes the sound and that this change would even be apparent when replaying it on vinyl.
