My advice would be Step 1: Get a SB3 (also called »Squeezebox Classic«), its great value and allows to get started -now-.
Step 2: Start ripping lossless (and dont buy lossy/DRMed stuff anymore). Step 3: Invest all the money you saved by not buying a Transporter in either good (monitor) active speakers or a decent amp plus good speakers. Step 4: If you audibly enjoy the real great quality you now get (and have new spare money), go buy a Transporter and youll step up even more :-) You can always use the SB3 in another room (like I like to listen in my bedroom, using SB3s headphone out). -- Moonbase Moonbase: 'The Problem Solver' (http://www.kaufen-ist-toll.de/moonbase) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Moonbase's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21594 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46186
