I don't know if you can. I do know that I would buy a bag of transistors
and sit down and measure the beta of each, and match them myself. It was
cheaper to do that then buy them in matched pairs.

The near classic Dynaco ST120 transistor power amp used this approach,
it was clearly written in the service manual. (the ST120 was never as
good a sounding amp as the tubed ST70. but transistors were better than
tubes. arrgggh)
