Good point. Not only that, but what are the BW of the 2?

(I thought that we were not that far apart in our views, we just talk a
different lingo.)

Imagine a certain 3-letter event that Pat F would probably not hear
about. A 4 hour long one. (No more hints.)

Imagine that over the course of a 4 hour period, someone expects to see
if you can tell the difference between 2 amps. Both are meticulously set
the have the same level, @ 1 kHz, with the speaker hooked up.

Except that one is........oh, say, the first Ayre amp, with a
ridiculously low BW, and the other is..........going as far as possible
in the other way, a Spectral.

I don't need to spend 4 hours of listening to stuff like Dave Wilson's
ragtime piano recordings, on a friggin' pair of WATTS to say:

"I can't listen to these damn speakers with the second amp that you
played. The first one makes them almost tolerable. Do I really need to
spend the rest of my Saturday afternoon to tell you that?"

So, Clark, Kruger, the BAS....and all the rest.......maybe the
methodology sucked. But maybe some of us really can hear the
difference. We don't need no steenking.......(finish the sentence on
your own.)
