Just my opinion, but if one is moving up to the added expense of an
external DAC, the move needs to be on the scale of just buying a
Transporter (much better DAC with a Squeezebox included) or one should
buy a Bel Canto's e.One DAC3 or better.

I guess what I am saying is sell whatever Squeezebox you have now and
put that money and the money you would spend on an external DAC toward
a Transporter. And if thats not the road to follow, keep what you have
and get a really good external DAC as in a Bel Canto's e.One DAC3 or
better. Because if the stock SB DAC isn't good enough, going with a
middle of the road external DAC for a slight improvement (read half the
price of a Transporter anyway) one might has well go a little further
and just get the Transporter. The used market is pretty good if a new
one is just out of reach.

Just my way of thinking about spending your money.
