Last year I bought a Transporter and gave it a 30 day trial but returned it before the end of the trial. The only issue I had with it was what I remember as a degauzing (I may have that wrong) sound involving the center knob. I'm having a hard time describing it but it would clear itself periodically. I couldn't imagine a piece of stereo equipment that made noise while I was trying to listen to music.
Did I have a bad unit or was there a simple technical fix? The reason why I'm looking at it again is I have a Glow One amp I'm using for headphones being fed from a Duet and I have a Duet feeding a Bel Canto DAC3 in my main system. My thoughts were to move the DAC3 to the headphone amp and replace it with the Transporter on my main system. The only issue is the degauzing sound. I'm hoping I'm the only one who had that issue and that buying one now won't have me repeating this frustration. -- Suprlite7 SB3-Bel Canto DAC3-Bel Canto Ref1000s-Gallo Reference 3.1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Suprlite7's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5461 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57762 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
