I have a Transporter (v 7.2.3) feeding an EMM DCC2se. 24/96 Playback works great using the Transporter clock as master. However, I would like to use the clock out from the EMM to the clock input of the Transporter, (Transporter slaved to the EMM) as I do with ordinary 16/44.1 flac files. In that configuration, I find that I can get a lock onto the EMM clock as usual, but 24/96 playback is very slow...Perhaps half speed, as the EMM clock is 48kHz. The EMM manual suggests that the unit can detect the proper clock speed (i.e., 48, 96, or 192) and self-adjust, but no dice. It appears that my readng of the manual was a tad overly optimistic. Is there a remedy on the Transporter end?
I see from some other threads here that Squeezecenter, when feeding a Squeezebox, automatically uses some functionality referred to as "sox" to downsample 24/96 to 24/48 in order to enable playback of 24/96 files on the Squeezebox. Is it possible to set up Squeezecenter to use this downsampling capability when it is feeding the Transporter? Perhaps someone has done this? I have yet to find anything in the Settings menu that looks promising, but I am ever hopeful. Thanks much for any guidance. -- captain cripes ------------------------------------------------------------------------ captain cripes's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17975 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58395 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
