As you can see from that thread... we are all still in the desert! The problem is that SC detects the capability of your player (96k for the TP in your case). Only if the sample rate of the file EXCEEDS the capability of your player is the downsampling via SOX invoked (you can see the command that is used for this right at the very end of convert.conf). You might be able to set the default for ALL FLACS to 48...but I'm back in the desert on that one! What I'd really like is the ability to set a fixed rate to resample to (in both your case AND my case that would be 48k, but for different reasons) and then anything - higher or lower in rate - would be resampled.
