@Pat - thanks. I'm not discouraged. :) I agree that I don't really know what my DAC is doing - other than that sine waves and square waves look nice! The problem is I don't have a "control" DAC to compare with... When you say we need 24-bit... the soundcard I'm using to record is running at 24/96 - is that what you meant?
@Mr O - yes I will do the SB3 vs another DAC test... I just need to pluck up the courage to go near my equipment rack again...
