In that this is a new unit, the advice above about your rights as a
purchaser under the sale of goods act or distance selling regulations
are the best route to go. You have a right to a new unit or your cash
back.

Your post does however give me the opportunity to moan and groan once
again about Logitech customer service in Europe for Slim products. The
solution is to avoid Logitech completely and go direct to Slim customer
services in Mountain View who are very helpful.  There is an email
address somewhere on this forum, but I am afraid a quick search failed
to find it.

I could tell you the story about trying to buy a Boom when they first
came out, but I will spare you.....
