Well, in my opinion, the digital output of the SB3 is good, but not very
good, though you need a really good system to hear the difference.

At first I thought that is at good as it could get, but me and some
friends did some tests (described in my first post on the previous
page), and I had to admit that my beloved SB3 was not quite top notch in
this respect (the differences were clearly audible, and we tried both on
coax and optical).

The guys that I did test with did not like the SB3 digital out, and
they were skeptical that the Transporter would indeed be a step ahead,
but since I really liked both the SB3 and the Duet, I am willing to try
the Transporter.
After all, the SB3 output is already bit-perfect, so I think that the
remaining problem is the jitter...and I hoped that the Transporter will
be a step ahead, and would match the digital out of the Meridian G91A,
as the SB3 cannot.

What do you think ?

Also, did anyone use the TP word clock input with an external DAC ?
