I've realised that now is the time to sell my cd player, while there are still some audiophiles that will pay a decent amount for it... I've got a Primare CD31 connected to their excellent I30 Amp (via XLR) driving my lovely Monitor Audio GS60. Also got the Squeezebox Duet, which sounds fine but not nearly as engaging as my cd. So in order to be happy to sell the cd some upgrade for the Squeezebox is necessary.
Was primarily thinking of getting a standalone DAC, only problem is that I also want to connect my Sky HD and PS3 slim to it and be able to switch between them with my Harmony remote. Unfortunately both of them are optical out only (at least I think so) which if I'm not mistaken limits my choices a bit. Only one I know of would be the new and expensive benchmark. Then I started thinking about the Transporter, but can it handle 2 optical inputs?
