Don't get rid of the CD player. You'll need it to play CDs when you don't want to fiddle around waiting while you rip the CD and have it pulled into the Squeezebox Server library. I have friends that bring CDs over to my house all the time. It wouldn't be much fun if I didn't have a CD player in the stereo system.
