Without fanning the flames of what may well turn into yet another heated thread of DBT versus subjective testing, what is more likely to be said by the true believers of all things DBT at the conclusion of such a "properly" conducted test is that your ability to reliably hear the difference between wav and flac files (as verified by the results of the DBT) is statistically insignificant and therefore doesn't prove anything, regardless of the fact that you may have gotten things right 100% of the time. In other words, if a statistically significant percentage of the people say that the emperor has clothes then the emperor has clothes, his sunburned behind not withstanding damn it. -- ralphpnj Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels -> Snatch -> The Transporter -> Transporter 2 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/jazzfann/) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71321 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
