Welcome to the forums!

Congrats on the Grado headphones! I have a pair of SR80i's that I
really like. Awesome sound for the money.

I have a setup on my bedside table with an SB3 and a headphone amp.
The headphone amp built into the SB3 I found to be noisy. While
listening to quieter parts of music or inbetween tracks, I could hear
digital noise - probably interference from the internal electronics.

I don't know about the cheap Cmoy amps that you see on EBay. They may
provide an improvement. You can spend a *lot* of money on a headphone
amp. I use this amplifier and I'm very happy with it:

It's not cheap, but it's not totally exhorbitant. I got the power
supply from them too, along with the rechargable battery. I tried using
a power supply from Radio Shack and it was very noisy. With the power
supply from PD, it is dead quiet.

Enjoy!
