No-one is arguing that S/PDIF is particularly good - it isn't. However, Sean Adams (Slim Devices co-founder) has stated in this forum that the coax S/PDIF interface of the Transport is less bad than the AES/EBU interface. That is all. Regarding your own "magic" cable - did you ever conduct a proper double-blind test with some other cable?
