I understand the Transporter still works without a display, but most people who buy high-end audio items also value the appearance, just like auto enthusiasts who work as hard on their car's cosmetics as they do performance. I understand that one can cabbage parts from other SB models. The question is whether that's appropriate one month out of warranty. And as for using a Touch screen in the Transporter cabinet, who wants their $2,000 high-end toy looking like it was a jerry-rigged entry in a "You might be a redneck..." contest? As for the carburetor on your Pontiac, I bet you can still get it rebuilt. For me, I don't have a Transporter, so I think I'll cease worrying about how to fix what I don't own. ;-) -- mlsstl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mlsstl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9598 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77638 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
