I'm not sure about that, Phil.

The marching band is uncorrelated to the Brahms, so it is treated as
background noise.
The fact that you can't hear it, doesn't necessarily mean that if you
had 3 bits of correlated signal it wouldn't be noticeable.
Does it ?
