What you're saying now is "I hear this" which is a different kind of
statement. I don't question what you hear.

I do question "...and Don't EVER use Digital Volume Control" and
"Digital Attenuation is BAD BAD BAD BAD even just a little is BAD".

There are many possible reasons for what people hear under uncontrolled
conditions. Perhaps something is not right in the set up or perhaps it
is expectation. Neither can be ruled out without a properly controlled
test.

Why am I going down this road? Why not just accept what you hear?
Normally I might. But what you're saying goes against some fairly
well-tested technical theory AFAI understand. Perhaps the theory is
wrong but one needs more than subjective data for people to take
notice.
