1. If your system has balanced analogue capability, the TP is a good match. I for one am a strong believer that balanced operation gives better results than unbalanced, even where the cable runs are short - I think it's probably to do with grounding topology. Mind you, the same can be achieved with a Touch plus a DAC with balanced outputs, of course. 2. The TP can act as a digital preamp.
