That is quite possibly true for the average new user, who also probably
wants a full-fledged remote.  That person should still get the Duet
(assuming that the Duet still exists, of course).  On the other hand,
the Touch is clearly a viable upgrade path for a user with a Duet who
wants any or all of the noted features -- internal SBS, handling of
higher-res files, etc etc.  In some regards it is close to the TP. 
Personally, I couldn't care less about the color screen or the
readability, I'd be using a Controller, just like I will for the TP.  I
won't be getting an iPhone or iPad, though, having had my fill of that
particular evil empire.
