"Yes" it's not an powerfull server, but it can do it, with some limitations as no web interface etc. Hi-rez = it plays 24bit 96kHz files in FLAC or WAV(PCM) , possibly also ALAC in 24/96 but off that i'm not sure , I use flac for that. It has an 24/96 dac and it passes 24/96 trough it's digital output. The only other squeezebox that does that is the Transporter.
