Only in audio does this ridiculousness (is that a word?) exist! Who in their right mind would buy a PC, or a TV, or even a wristwatch that required any sort of break-in to perform properly?
Audiophiles (at least some) eat this crap up, and anyone who is so disconnected from reality NEEDS to have their pockets looted.
