Am I right in thinking that you can use DRC at source to replace the crossover? [In principle this seems right to me but i can't quite work out how you roll off between drivers if you only have 2 output channels- maybe you don't] If so anyone with a squeezebox and a server with a decent cpu could go active. This would be a cheap and easy (ish) solution
