This is why I bought the original 1V output version of the Neko D-100 DAC. The input sensitivity of my Rogue M-180 amps is also 1V. So I should be safe. Well except from annoying the neighbors.
In fact, I was just playing around with going direct to the amps and forgot to turn the fixed volume feature off in 7.6. No where close to speaker-damaging volume, but I'm sure the neighbors heard it. However, I find I have to go rather heavy on the DVC for moderate level listening, around -25dB, when going direct. When using my pre-amp, "serious" listening volume is typically -10dB to -20dB below unity gain, depending on the recording. I have some 10dB in-line attenuators, but the problem with them as that I then don't have enough volume for the occasional recording cut at a very low level. -- Daverz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Daverz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89228 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
