Internet radio sounds mostly poor to me. However, it can be done right
(BBC Radio 3 sounds better than most stations)...which makes me think
the problem is not INTERNET radio per se but RADIO. Frankly the SQ of
most stations whether via FM, DAB or Internet is poor. Compression is
an additional issue - some stations (e.g. Absolute) are worse than
others (e.g. BBC Radio 6, XFM) in terms of compression.

As bad as the internet radio codecs are, I don't think they are the
main problem with radio SQ. Sad.
