If I may, I'd like to throw in a remark that relates to what you've
said above: I agree that the soundstage has never been more lucid,
however an odd thing is that now many vocalists appear a bit shorter
than before. One of the bragging rights of my system has always been
the life-size representation of the performers. Drum kit not only
sounds like a real drum kit, it also assumes the real life size of a
drum kit in front of the listener. Same goes for the upright bass,
piano, etc. When it comes to vocalists, you can see them in their real
life size -- John Lennon is standing right in front of you at his
5'11'' height, and you can 'see' him opening his mouth at that exact
height. (this effect is mostly due to the huge size of my Maggies; I
haven't noticed the same representation coming out of smaller boxed
speakers).

However, now with the latest mods, I find that many performers have
'shrunk' by a few inches. Not sure what's causing it, but many singers
now appear shorter than before.

Weird...
