But signal is digital but the noise is not ;) it is good old fashioned analog noise .
Maybe the tubes would not like the wifi chip at all ? No experience of that . What people are trying to say is that the tube stage probaly introduce several magnitudes more artifacts than noise over the ethernet ever could like shall we guestimate a factor 1000 - 100000 so swamped is the word.
