I have the Touch and a Bifrost DAC and am incredibly happy with the sound. So, obviously I would get the Touch plus DAC, if I were you. The Touch is a great little device and the display also comes in handy, plus you can use the DAC with other devices as well.
I have no idea what the Transporter sounds like. But the Touch definitely sounds better than the SB3 and with a good DAC (Bifrost) it sounds amazing.
