A better question would be: Since determining the dynamic range of a recording is such a simple process why don't the various vendors (HDTracks, etc.) post the dynamic range along with the bit and sample rate? Simple answer to the above question: Because then most well informed people (well informed and with a good understanding of what high resolution SHOULD be about) would not waste their money on so called high resolution recordings that are "significantly dynamically compressed". ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96723 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
