You bring up a good point. With all the focus these days on the Loudness Wars and dynamic range compression things like how the original recording was made are often overlooked. Many classic rock multi-track recordings sound terrible because of the way they were originally recorded. First the rhythm tracks, then the melody instruments and then the vocals, all recorded separately and all recorded in sound booths - no interaction between the musicians and very dry sound. No amount of remastering magic is ever going to "fix" these sonic disasters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98249
