Unfortunately not , Touch is similar ,but this is not evident on all
material . there was a tread where a guy offered test files for it too .
This is really a tiny effect . This is also true for most small mobile
devices , but you never connect those to a real hifi and you never
notice .

That was actually one of the good things with you mp3 test it bypassed
the built in decoders in squeezeboxes .

A thought to to guys developing new player software and OS . Try with
the LAME encoder/decoder it uses much more CPU than SoX if the fpu unit
is not so good ( or maybe they compile it without floating point math :)
).

It can actually take more CPU to decode lossy formats . None of the
lossles formats are affected in this way on the players.
