Oh I forgot to mention that it seems like there are some "Hi-End" manufacturers using MPD ie Bryston et.al. I've never heard their take on MPD but trying to follow their lead I even tried MPD with various types of hardware [RPI, BBB and lots of different types of computers/processors/RAM configurations].
