Yes, certain buffer values cause stuttering and static-like sound. On the C2 for example, if I recall buffer time of 120 caused very noticeable stutter. Beyond the obvious stuttering it *seemed* as if output had very subtle jerkiness with -a 35 which disappared with -a 92790:4. It's a very minor artefact and I don't want to rule out self-bias on this. What is clear that buffer size/time selection has audible effect for squeezelite (and other alsa utilities like aplay), and that the embedded boards I've used are all less than perfect at default setting. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mervinb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66313 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106537 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
