Sure.

I used a Jesse Lite for both running on a RaspberryPi3.

RPI #1 = Squeezelite with no other tweaks. Playing RedBook CD material
on Flac. Power supply was a standard wallwart.
RPI #2 = MPD with no other tweaks. Playing the exact same Flac files.
Standard wallwart.

Both connected to identical Dac's at the same time [AudioGD Ref 7 (one
borrowed)] which in turn are connected to a AudioGD Master1 Preamp, then
to a AudioGD Master3 amp. Speakers are Dynaudio.

To switch between sources my wife just had to change inputs.

She had no idea which input was controlling which Dac/RPI combo and
neither did I....
I had my son connect the inputs from the Dacs to the Preamp so even my
wife had no idea what input one or two was.
She played must and switched to A, then played the same track while
switched to B.
After about 3 whole CD's and 20 tracks I had a list of A preferred and a
list of B preferred. I was able to write comments on what I thought I
heard with A and B over the course of the listening session.

Not happy with this, we repeated it a couple more times maybe a month
later. I consistently picked MPD overall as being thicker
sounding....although not 100% of the time and on every track.
