Melinda,

One aspect of Risk Management, which is rapidly catching up coz of BASEL Committee and like

is "Operational Risk".

And this is what HR guys would be interested in.

Your presentation could be based on tools and methodology your department has prepared to counter risk.

Some other highlights which HR would be interested in:

1: The control on outsourcing Staff working within premises.

2: The employee productivity ratios.

3: Staff turnover ratios.

4: Control procedures on "Trainees"

5: And then there is the much debated concept of treating every deptt as profit center and

then arriving to risk score and stuff like that.

Hope this would help,

Best of luck anyways.

Subject: HR Speaking Opportunity

I have the opportunity to make a presentation to a group of HR directors.  They have no specific topic identified, but have charged me with finding something relevant and interesting to their group which incorporates internal audit concepts.  Some ideas I had initially are to talk about risk management (not different from what we do daily) and relate it to how they provide risk management services, too.  Does anyone have any other ideas or presentations they may have made which would be relevant?

Thanks.
