Funny observation:

I decided that having a "/dummy" folder was a bit messy, so I
umounted, and remounted using a dummy "/root/.aufs-dummy" folder
instead.

After having done so, I am unable to remove the /dummy folder (rmdir:
failed to remove ‘/dummy/’: Device or resource busy).

Sensei, this reminds me of a previous issue, where I was trying to put
the xino file on something not btrfs/zfs (remember?), and the folder
became busy even when the mount failed. You found and fixed a bug
because of that. I'm wondering if this might be related?
