I'd ask you another test to make sure zfs. - choose one dir under /titanic. - on nfs server, run "find $the_dir -type f | xargs -r wc -l | sort -n > /tmp/l" - on nfs client, run the same command. - compare two "/tmp/l"s. Obviously the two results should be identical. So this is a simple for zfs via nfs. It might be better that the files are widely various in their sizes.
