Not to mention the WA State Comps:
First Std Class SZD 55
First Handicap Class Jantar Std 2.
First Club Class Jantar Std.
Polish the pilot, not the glider.

Questions
The SZD-55 is a
vastly different glider than a Standard Jantar.
What type of glider
was it that won the last Nationals ???

Questions
Think performance is the same BUT
I do know Jantar 2 is diabolically bad to work on the instrument panel (front
canopy fixed) If with Jantar 2 have one WINTER (not PZL) tube connector
ONE 15 pin electrical connector and one BNC extension lead and then and
only then would a Jantar 2 be acceptable. I believe winglets are
worthwhile on Jantar. In strong conditions Jantar is equivalent to LS4
but LS4 may be better in weak conditions. The winglets could equal up
this difference. Not so sure about construction of Jantar and spar bump
but I do know the SZD55 is hard to remove the spar bump (it comes back) but it
does not seem to matter much with the 55 My bottom line is get a Jantar
3 if you possibly can. A Jantar is a poor mans LS4 as an SZD55 is a poor
mans Discus 1. Hope I have not upset people with such
statements!
