Why don't you simply apply to the Australian Communications Authority for
your own frequency? Why do so many of us think we have to wait for the
parental figure of the GFA to do everything for us??

Absolutely, Robert. It's a wonder nobody thought of this before! Ask for
118.02, 119.62, 119.82, 120.17 and 122.02. While they're on the phone ask
what it would cost.

As a temporary expedient, pending the usual dilatory approach from the GFA,
why don't you ask the local ultralighters if you can borrow one their
private frequencies now and then - or the aerobatic pilots or the
parachutists. They probably don't use all of theirs all the time.

They have private frequencies just like the GFA got for us, don't they?

The airlines also have private frequencies they use only now and then, they
might like to get some cost-sharing assistance from the GFA. Why don't you
ask Qantas what a licence for 131.7 costs each year?

Go for it Robert. The GFA needs more people like you with energy and great
new ideas.
