From the diary entry on sportavia.com.au for 24 February:
Hot topic, still, the changes to Sportavia, which are sad for a few ,
but up to tragic for others ,as 5 staff members got a letter that
their jobs will be terminated in 6 weeks on April 3. Tove , Grant,
Don , Eddie and Ritz were the ones to receive the letter. Of course
we can all apply for the same job next summer-season!
... so these 5 staff members have been told that they are not being
retained over the winter .. some long-serving team members and a
husband and wife who sold up their previous business 18 months ago to
move to Tocumwal and take up what promised to be 5-year contracts to
run and develop the Sportavia business.
I will know more after the Antique Aeroplane Club's fly-in in 3 weeks' time...
