I would prefer to see how one of these new generation aviation
Turbo-diesels would go in a Pawnee glider towing, these engines can be run
on Avtur and should have good density altitude performance, and with liquid
cooling give good turn round times.
I have also seen a PT6 in a PA36 - don't know how compatible that would be
with glider towing but it would be a hoot to fly.

Some links I did a grant application for ethanol powered tugs some time ago
perhaps someone would like to set up a group I would participate if needed.
Now ethanol is nearly half the price of avgas and 50 cent to 70 cents
cheaper than unleaded.
Maybe the GFA could use some of our funds that they have saved up! puts of
flame suit.

to side good for landing in crops.
