The sad thing about this is that Rudi Gaissmeier had something to do
with an ASW12 in Germany and they fairly simply modified the flaps to
go down 90 deg like a PIK20B.

Only ASW12 I've seen for real was at Cal City back in 1988. It
belonged to the Douglas Soaring Club. The mind boggles. Mind you it
was actually in one piece at the time.
