Over the last year or so we've had a few B50 customers with the B57 version DDM want to drive a PDA. If the B50 is not one of the last DDM revisions where the mode is jumper selectable you need a V3.25 programmed microcontroller. which we had stock of when production ceased but gradually got sold off mainly as the B50's or the gliders they were installed in changed hands.

We now have a chance to get a small stock of programmed microcontrollers that are replacements for the now obsolete part and I have a customer in the US who thinks he is able to program them as we provided the hex file to do this.

If you have a B50 with B57 DDM chip and want a DDM with NMEA output to drive a PDA please let me know right away. This isn't 100% at this stage as it hasn't yet been tested but I need to know how many programmed chips to get if it works.

Mike,

You can put me down for one. I'd already discussed it with you for the B50 in GTD and was resigned to having to source a new vario after you told me there were no DDMs left.

Cheers,
