One alternative is to have your own AOC so you do not pay the GFA for Joy
Flights - GFA Directors hate that.

 

Sure the AOC does have financial and operational overheads - financials are
recovered by not paying the $20 per flight  

otherwise paid to the GFA  - the operational overheads are the CASA audits
BUT is has been amazing how productive they 

have been.

Yes - in part. Part is also to cover the admin costs. Some - exactly as with
the clubs - is revenue.
