Ah yes, if only the world would see gliding the way you do there would be no problem. This may come as news to you but most people decide to go gliding because they want to actually fly sailplanes. Playing "gliding club" isn't usually the reason and there seems to be good evidence that it is a major turnoff as shown by the 40% annual membership churn rate.

For those making the obligatory "the instructors are hard working etc" comments, I am sure most of the instructors are well meaning etc but this question needs answering: Why is gliding so dangerous?
